pgAdmin 4's Restore and Maintenance tools passed the client-supplied 'database' field directly as the value of the --dbname option given to pg_restore and psql. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and connection keywords embedded in that value take precedence over the --host and --port arguments that pgAdmin supplies. A value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' therefore redirected the utility to a server chosen by the requesting user rather than the server the operation was invoked against. Because pgAdmin exports the decrypted stored database password in the PGPASSWORD environment variable before executing the utility, the redirected connection presents that credential to the attacker-nominated endpoint, which may capture it. The redirection additionally permits outbound connections from the pgAdmin host to arbitrary network addresses, including hosts not otherwise reachable by the requesting user. The behaviour is reachable by any authenticated user holding the tools_restore or tools_maintenance permission, both of which the default User role grants. The Maintenance tool was not affected in the earliest releases, where the value was wrapped by a quoting helper that incidentally prevented expansion; it became affected when that wrapper was removed. The fix supplies the target database in the PGDATABASE environment variable, which libpq treats as a literal database name and never expands as a connection string. Where pg_restore requires a --dbname argument to be present, an empty value is passed, which contains no equals sign and is therefore not expanded, while the real name is taken from the environment. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: from the introduction of the --dbname argument in the Restore and Maintenance tools before 9.18.

pgAdmin 4's File Manager save_file endpoint, which backs saving from the Query Tool and ERD, validated the requested path with Filemanager.check_access_permission() and then opened the file for writing with a plain open() call. CVE-2026-7819 had previously hardened the separate file upload path by opening its target with O_NOFOLLOW, so that the kernel refuses to follow a symbolic link at the final path component, but save_file was left on an unprotected open(). A symbolic link already present when the check ran was rejected by the check itself; the remaining exposure was a link substituted at the final path component in the interval between the check and the write, at which point the write followed the link and landed outside the user's storage directory, creating or overwriting an arbitrary file as the operating-system account running pgAdmin. Exploitation requires the ability to create or replace a symbolic link inside the requesting user's storage directory. pgAdmin exposes no interface that creates symbolic links, so this requires filesystem access to the pgAdmin host or to a shared or network-mounted storage backend, together with winning the timing window. The reporter did not achieve a write against a released version, having attempted approximately 63,000 racing requests without success; the reported defect is the uncovered write path rather than a demonstrated sandbox escape. The fix routes save_file's write through the same O_NOFOLLOW-protected helper already used by the upload path, so both File Manager write sinks carry identical kernel-enforced protection, and reports a symbolic-link refusal explicitly instead of surfacing the underlying system error text. Note that files created by save_file are now given mode 0600, inheriting the behaviour introduced for uploads. The protection covers the final path component; substitution of an intermediate directory component is not addressed by this change. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: from the introduction of the containment check in the File Manager save path before 9.18.

Unauthenticated attackers can submit crafted serialized PHP objects via POST requests to htsrv/call_plugin.php that bypass validation and reach unserialize(), instantiating arbitrary PHP objects with attacker-chosen properties that may enable code execution if suitable POP gadget chains exist.

Use of HTTP Request With Sensitive Query String vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthenticationPhoenix allows someone able to read access logs, proxy logs or browser history to recover a single-use sign-in token and authenticate as its owner. After a successful password sign-in, AshAuthentication.Phoenix.Components.Password.SignInForm builds the sign_in_with_token path with the freshly issued user.__metadata__.token as a query parameter and redirects the browser to it with a GET. The token therefore travels in the request line, where web servers, reverse proxies, request telemetry and the browser's own history record it, all of which outlive the request and are ordinarily less protected than session storage. The redirect destination is restricted to a local path, so this is not an open redirect; the exposure is the retention of a live credential. This issue affects ash_authentication_phoenix: from 1.7.0 before 2.17.4 and from 3.0.0-rc.0 before 3.0.0-rc.11; ash_authentication: from 3.10.5 before 4.15.0 and from 5.0.0-rc.0 before 5.0.0-rc.14.

Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows disclosure of user password digests to readers of the audit store. The audit_log add-on builds each entry's extra_data in AshAuthentication.AddOn.AuditLog.Auditor.build_extra_data/4, which takes :actor from the action callback context verbatim. Any audited action invoked with actor: set to a user record therefore deposits that record, including its hashed_password attribute, into the audit entry. The same module already collapses the audited identity to an opaque string via AshAuthentication.user_to_subject/1 and filters params against the strategy's configured allow-list, so the actor is the only stored value that reaches the audit store unfiltered. Marking the attribute sensitive?: true does not help, because that redacts inspect/1 output rather than JSON encoding or raw-term storage. There is no attacker-controlled trigger and no network disclosure path: entries accumulate from ordinary authenticated activity, and an attacker's own requests deposit only their own digest. Exploitation requires independent read access to the audit store, such as database credentials, an audit role, a backup, or a log shipper, at which point the digests support offline password attack against every active account. Whether the material persists depends on the data layer, since raw-term stores keep it verbatim while a SQL store raises Protocol.UndefinedError and drops the entry unless the user resource derives Jason.Encoder. This issue affects ash_authentication: from 4.12.0 before 4.15.0 and from 5.0.0-rc.0 before 5.0.0-rc.2.

A flaw was found in libvirt. A local attacker, specifically a process running as the confined `swtpm` user, could exploit a symlink-following vulnerability in the `virFileChownFiles()` function. By planting a symbolic link within the `swtpm` state directory, the attacker could trick the root-level libvirt daemon into changing the ownership of an arbitrary file to the `swtpm` user. This allows for privilege escalation from the `swtpm` sandbox to root-level file ownership control.

The All-in-One WP Migration and Backup plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insufficient Credential Protection in versions up to, and including, 7.110. This is due to the `Ai1wm_Main_Controller::init()` method — registered on the `admin_init` hook, which fires unauthenticated on `admin-ajax.php` and `admin-post.php` requests — reading `$_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER']` and `$_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW']` from any incoming request and writing them to the `ai1wm_auth_header` option via `update_option()` as a reversible base64-encoded string, with no capability check, nonce verification, `is_user_logged_in()` check, or confirmation that Basic authentication actually succeeded. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to capture into the database, in reversible base64 form, any WordPress Application Password or HTTP Basic credential presented to `/wp-admin/` by a legitimate integration, or to overwrite the stored credential with an attacker-chosen value by sending an anonymous request carrying a crafted `Authorization: Basic` header. This is particularly impactful in environments using WordPress Application Passwords for REST API or third-party integrations, as those credentials are transmitted as HTTP Basic auth to `/wp-admin/` and will be silently harvested via this unauthenticated write path.

Vikunja before 2.6.0 continues to expose the raw TOTP shared secret after enrollment through the GET /api/v1/user/settings/totp and /api/v1/user/settings/totp/qrcode endpoints without re-authentication. Attackers with a valid access token can read the secret, import it into their own authenticator, and generate valid codes indefinitely to defeat the second factor and enable account takeover.

Http4s is a Scala interface for HTTP services. Prior to 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47, The CookieJar client middleware stores a response cookie’s Domain attribute without checking that it domain-matches the host that supplied the cookie or rejecting public suffixes. A malicious or compromised server contacted through the same CookieJar can plant a cookie for another domain, and the jar later sends that cookie to the victim domain, enabling session fixation or overwriting security-sensitive cookies. The patch validates the Set-Cookie domain against the response origin, although public-suffix rejection remains unimplemented. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.35 and 1.0.0-M47.

n8n before 1.123.73, 2.35.4, and 2.36.2 contains a credential exposure vulnerability in the Strapi, SeaTable, and Mailcheck nodes. These nodes send their decrypted credentials to the authentication endpoint via the raw legacy HTTP helper outside any error handling, causing the plaintext secret to be persisted in execution error data. Any authenticated user can read the plaintext secret from their own execution through the REST API, bypassing the blank-value redaction enforced by the credentials API.

Kedro-Datasets provides data connectors for Kedro. From version 5.0.0 until 9.5.0, kedro_datasets_experimental.pytorch.PyTorchDataset in kedro-datasets loads .pt model files with torch.load without enforcing weights_only=True, and user-supplied load_args are silently dropped. On PyTorch versions earlier than 2.6, a malicious pickle-backed model from an attacker-influenced shared registry, downloaded checkpoint, or partitioned external source can execute arbitrary code when a Kedro pipeline loads it. The issue affects only the opt-in kedro_datasets_experimental component and does not affect users who load only trusted files. This issue is fixed in version 9.5.0.

A security issue in MongoDB Server's diagnostic reporting interface allows an authenticated user with monitoring privileges to access insufficiently protected credentials from concurrent administrative operations. The same credentials are properly redacted in server log output, but the diagnostic interface omits equivalent redaction. Successful exploitation requires a valid authenticated session with monitoring-level permissions and results in exposure of cleartext credentials that could enable impersonation of other users, including privileged accounts.
