The xmlStringGetNodeList function in tree.c in libxml2 2.9.3 and earlier, when used in recovery mode, allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite recursion, stack consumption, and application crash) via a crafted XML document.
CVE-2017-9022 3 Canonical, Debian, Strongswan 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Strongswan 2025-12-03 7.5 High
The gmp plugin in strongSwan before 5.5.3 does not properly validate RSA public keys before calling mpz_powm_sec, which allows remote peers to cause a denial of service (floating point exception and process crash) via a crafted certificate.
CVE-2017-6519 3 Avahi, Canonical, Redhat 3 Avahi, Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-03 9.1 Critical
avahi-daemon in Avahi through 0.6.32 and 0.7 inadvertently responds to IPv6 unicast queries with source addresses that are not on-link, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (traffic amplification) and may cause information leakage by obtaining potentially sensitive information from the responding device via port-5353 UDP packets. NOTE: this may overlap CVE-2015-2809.
CVE-2018-16152 3 Canonical, Debian, Strongswan 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Strongswan 2025-12-03 7.5 High
In verify_emsa_pkcs1_signature() in gmp_rsa_public_key.c in the gmp plugin in strongSwan 4.x and 5.x before 5.7.0, the RSA implementation based on GMP does not reject excess data in the digestAlgorithm.parameters field during PKCS#1 v1.5 signature verification. Consequently, a remote attacker can forge signatures when small public exponents are being used, which could lead to impersonation when only an RSA signature is used for IKEv2 authentication. This is a variant of CVE-2006-4790 and CVE-2014-1568.
CVE-2018-16151 3 Canonical, Debian, Strongswan 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Strongswan 2025-12-03 7.5 High
In verify_emsa_pkcs1_signature() in gmp_rsa_public_key.c in the gmp plugin in strongSwan 4.x and 5.x before 5.7.0, the RSA implementation based on GMP does not reject excess data after the encoded algorithm OID during PKCS#1 v1.5 signature verification. Similar to the flaw in the same version of strongSwan regarding digestAlgorithm.parameters, a remote attacker can forge signatures when small public exponents are being used, which could lead to impersonation when only an RSA signature is used for IKEv2 authentication.
CVE-2018-11574 2 Canonical, Point-to-point Protocol Project 2 Ubuntu Linux, Point-to-point Protocol 2025-12-03 9.8 Critical
Improper input validation together with an integer overflow in the EAP-TLS protocol implementation in PPPD may cause a crash, information disclosure, or authentication bypass. This implementation is distributed as a patch for PPPD 0.91, and includes the affected eap.c and eap-tls.c files. Configurations that use the `refuse-app` option are unaffected.
CVE-2020-15861 3 Canonical, Net-snmp, Netapp 5 Ubuntu Linux, Net-snmp, Cloud Backup and 2 more 2025-12-03 7.8 High
Net-SNMP through 5.7.3 allows Escalation of Privileges because of UNIX symbolic link (symlink) following.
CVE-2019-15166 8 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 5 more 10 Mac Os X, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 7 more 2025-12-03 1.6 Low
lmp_print_data_link_subobjs() in print-lmp.c in tcpdump before 4.9.3 lacks certain bounds checks.
CVE-2019-15165 8 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 5 more 12 Ipados, Iphone Os, Mac Os X and 9 more 2025-12-03 5.3 Medium
sf-pcapng.c in libpcap before 1.9.1 does not properly validate the PHB header length before allocating memory.
CVE-2020-8597 5 Canonical, Debian, Point-to-point Protocol Project and 2 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Point-to-point Protocol and 5 more 2025-12-03 9.8 Critical
eap.c in pppd in ppp 2.4.2 through 2.4.8 has an rhostname buffer overflow in the eap_request and eap_response functions.
CVE-2018-18492 4 Canonical, Debian, Mozilla and 1 more 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Firefox and 8 more 2025-11-25 N/A
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur after deleting a selection element due to a weak reference to the select element in the options collection. This results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 60.4, Firefox ESR < 60.4, and Firefox < 64.
CVE-2018-18493 4 Canonical, Debian, Mozilla and 1 more 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Firefox and 8 more 2025-11-25 N/A
A buffer overflow can occur in the Skia library during buffer offset calculations with hardware accelerated canvas 2D actions due to the use of 32-bit calculations instead of 64-bit. This results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 60.4, Firefox ESR < 60.4, and Firefox < 64.
CVE-2014-1532 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 13 more 2025-11-25 9.8 Critical
