| Concrete CMS 9 through 9.5.3 did not confirm that a board InstanceItem submitted to the custom-slot preview endpoint belonged to the board instance the requesting user was authorized to edit, and did not enforce page-view permission before generating page-backed summary content. As a result, an authenticated user holding edit-board-contents permission on a single board instance could submit the identifier of an item belonging to a different board instance and receive summary fields, including the page title and description, of an underlying page the same user was otherwise forbidden to view. This is due to insufficient file type validation during chunked upload handling. | Concrete CMS below 9.5.4 did not validate the user timezone value (uTimezone) on write and rendered it without output encoding on the Dashboard user management page, where Date::getTimezoneDisplayName() returns any non-IANA value unchanged. A stored cross-site scripting payload saved in this field executed in an administrator's browser when they viewed the affected user in the Dashboard, running script in the admin session (for example to read CSRF tokens, create administrator accounts, or change site settings). In Concrete CMS 9.5.3 the field became reachable by unauthenticated visitors through public registration; in Concrete CMS below 9.5.3, the same field was reachable by any authenticated user through the account profile editor. Exploitation required concrete.misc.user_timezones to be enabled (off by default), and the unauthenticated path additionally required public registration to be enabled. | Apache NiFi 2.9.0 through 2.11.0 provide Connector configuration update and verification REST API methods that do not enforce authorization checking on Assets and Secrets referenced in proposed configuration. Updating or verifying a Connector configuration step can apply Asset and Secret references, but framework authorization was limited to write privileges on the Connector itself. As a result of the missing authorization, an authenticated user authorized to modify a Connector, but not authorized to read a referenced Parameter Provider, could apply Secret values backed by that Parameter Provider. The same methods also accepted Asset identifiers without verifying that the Asset belonged to the Connector being configured. Apache NiFi installations that do not implement different levels of authorization across Connectors and Parameter Providers are not subject to this vulnerability, because the framework enforces write permissions on the Connector as the security boundary. Upgrading to Apache NiFi 2.12.0 is the recommended mitigation, which authorizes read access to referenced Parameter Providers and verifies Connector ownership of referenced Assets during configuration update and verification. |

| A vulnerability in the remote diagnostics debugger of Cisco Secure FMC Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to enable the remote diagnostics debugger service.
This vulnerability is due to an error when checking the privilege level of a user who is invoking remote diagnostics. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the device, either through the web-based management interface or the REST API, and using the remote diagnostics debugger to grant a user elevated privileges. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to elevate privileges to root.

To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid user credentials on the affected device.

| A vulnerability in the sftunnel inter-device communication protocol of Cisco Secure FMC Software and Cisco Secure FTD Software could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to impersonate the peer device and obtain access at the level of the manager role, which is equivalent to root.
This vulnerability is due to improper management of the TLS certificate for the sftunnel management connection. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by connecting to the sftunnel port using a crafted TLS certificate. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to become a registered sftunnel peer with root access.
Note: The attack is successful only if the sftunnel connection is down or the attack can disrupt the sftunnel connection long enough to execute the attack. |
