In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix uninitialized ratelimit_state->lock access in __ext4_fill_super() In the following concurrency we will access the uninitialized rs->lock: ext4_fill_super ext4_register_sysfs // sysfs registered msg_ratelimit_interval_ms // Other processes modify rs->interval to // non-zero via msg_ratelimit_interval_ms ext4_orphan_cleanup ext4_msg(sb, KERN_INFO, "Errors on filesystem, " __ext4_msg ___ratelimit(&(EXT4_SB(sb)->s_msg_ratelimit_state) if (!rs->interval) // do nothing if interval is 0 return 1; raw_spin_trylock_irqsave(&rs->lock, flags) raw_spin_trylock(lock) _raw_spin_trylock __raw_spin_trylock spin_acquire(&lock->dep_map, 0, 1, _RET_IP_) lock_acquire __lock_acquire register_lock_class assign_lock_key dump_stack(); ratelimit_state_init(&sbi->s_msg_ratelimit_state, 5 * HZ, 10); raw_spin_lock_init(&rs->lock); // init rs->lock here and get the following dump_stack: ========================================================= INFO: trying to register non-static key. The code is fine but needs lockdep annotation, or maybe you didn't initialize this object before use? turning off the locking correctness validator. CPU: 12 PID: 753 Comm: mount Tainted: G E 6.7.0-rc6-next-20231222 #504 [...] Call Trace: dump_stack_lvl+0xc5/0x170 dump_stack+0x18/0x30 register_lock_class+0x740/0x7c0 __lock_acquire+0x69/0x13a0 lock_acquire+0x120/0x450 _raw_spin_trylock+0x98/0xd0 ___ratelimit+0xf6/0x220 __ext4_msg+0x7f/0x160 [ext4] ext4_orphan_cleanup+0x665/0x740 [ext4] __ext4_fill_super+0x21ea/0x2b10 [ext4] ext4_fill_super+0x14d/0x360 [ext4] [...] ========================================================= Normally interval is 0 until s_msg_ratelimit_state is initialized, so ___ratelimit() does nothing. But registering sysfs precedes initializing rs->lock, so it is possible to change rs->interval to a non-zero value via the msg_ratelimit_interval_ms interface of sysfs while rs->lock is uninitialized, and then a call to ext4_msg triggers the problem by accessing an uninitialized rs->lock. Therefore register sysfs after all initializations are complete to avoid such problems.
CVE-2024-38608 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Fix netif state handling mlx5e_suspend cleans resources only if netif_device_present() returns true. However, mlx5e_resume changes the state of netif, via mlx5e_nic_enable, only if reg_state == NETREG_REGISTERED. In the below case, the above leads to NULL-ptr Oops[1] and memory leaks: mlx5e_probe _mlx5e_resume mlx5e_attach_netdev mlx5e_nic_enable <-- netdev not reg, not calling netif_device_attach() register_netdev <-- failed for some reason. ERROR_FLOW: _mlx5e_suspend <-- netif_device_present return false, resources aren't freed :( Hence, clean resources in this case as well. CVE-2024-38570 2 Linux, Redhat 6 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more 2026-10-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: Fix potential glock use-after-free on unmount When a DLM lockspace is released and there ares still locks in that lockspace, DLM will unlock those locks automatically. Commit fb6791d100d1b started exploiting this behavior to speed up filesystem unmount: gfs2 would simply free glocks it didn't want to unlock and then release the lockspace. This didn't take the bast callbacks for asynchronous lock contention notifications into account, which remain active until until a lock is unlocked or its lockspace is released. To prevent those callbacks from accessing deallocated objects, put the glocks that should not be unlocked on the sd_dead_glocks list, release the lockspace, and only then free those glocks. As an additional measure, ignore unexpected ast and bast callbacks if the receiving glock is dead.

CVE-2024-27011 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix memleak in map from abort path The delete set command does not rely on the transaction object for element removal, therefore, a combination of delete element + delete set from the abort path could result in restoring twice the refcount of the mapping. Check for inactive element in the next generation for the delete element command in the abort path, skip restoring state if next generation bit has been already cleared. This is similar to the activate logic using the set walk iterator. CVE-2024-26828 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 9.4 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: fix underflow in parse_server_interfaces() In this loop, we step through the buffer and after each item we check if the size_left is greater than the minimum size we need. However, the problem is that "bytes_left" is type ssize_t while sizeof() is type size_t. That means that because of type promotion, the comparison is done as an unsigned and if we have negative bytes left the loop continues instead of ending.
CVE-2024-26740 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_mirred: use the backlog for mirred ingress The test Davide added in commit ca22da2fbd69 ("act_mirred: use the backlog for nested calls to mirred ingress") hangs our testing VMs every 10 or so runs, with the familiar tcp_v4_rcv -> tcp_v4_rcv deadlock reported by lockdep. The problem as previously described by Davide (see Link) is that if we reverse flow of traffic with the redirect (egress -> ingress) we may reach the same socket which generated the packet. And we may still be holding its socket lock. The common solution to such deadlocks is to put the packet in the Rx backlog, rather than run the Rx path inline. Do that for all egress -> ingress reversals, not just once we started to nest mirred calls. In the past there was a concern that the backlog indirection will lead to loss of error reporting / less accurate stats. But the current workaround does not seem to address the issue.
CVE-2024-26669 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: flower: Fix chain template offload When a qdisc is deleted from a net device the stack instructs the underlying driver to remove its flow offload callback from the associated filter block using the 'FLOW_BLOCK_UNBIND' command. The stack then continues to replay the removal of the filters in the block for this driver by iterating over the chains in the block and invoking the 'reoffload' operation of the classifier being used. In turn, the classifier in its 'reoffload' operation prepares and emits a 'FLOW_CLS_DESTROY' command for each filter. However, the stack does not do the same for chain templates and the underlying driver never receives a 'FLOW_CLS_TMPLT_DESTROY' command when a qdisc is deleted. This results in a memory leak [1] which can be reproduced using [2]. Fix by introducing a 'tmplt_reoffload' operation and have the stack invoke it with the appropriate arguments as part of the replay. Implement the operation in the sole classifier that supports chain templates (flower) by emitting the 'FLOW_CLS_TMPLT_{CREATE,DESTROY}' command based on whether a flow offload callback is being bound to a filter block or being unbound from one. As far as I can tell, the issue happens since cited commit which reordered tcf_block_offload_unbind() before tcf_block_flush_all_chains() in __tcf_block_put(). The order cannot be reversed as the filter block is expected to be freed after flushing all the chains. CVE-2023-52771 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/port: Fix delete_endpoint() vs parent unregistration race The CXL subsystem, at cxl_mem ->probe() time, establishes a lineage of ports (struct cxl_port objects) between an endpoint and the root of a CXL topology. Each port including the endpoint port is attached to the cxl_port driver. Given that setup, it follows that when either any port in that lineage goes through a cxl_port ->remove() event, or the memdev goes through a cxl_mem ->remove() event. The hierarchy below the removed port, or the entire hierarchy if the memdev is removed needs to come down. The delete_endpoint() callback is careful to check whether it is being called to tear down the hierarchy, or if it is only being called to teardown the memdev because an ancestor port is going through ->remove(). That care needs to take the device_lock() of the endpoint's parent. Which requires 2 bugs to be fixed: 1/ A reference on the parent is needed to prevent use-after-free scenarios like this signature: BUG: spinlock bad magic on CPU#0, kworker/u56:0/11 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS edk2-20230524-3.fc38 05/24/2023 Workqueue: cxl_port detach_memdev [cxl_core] RIP: 0010:spin_bug+0x65/0xa0 Call Trace: do_raw_spin_lock+0x69/0xa0 __mutex_lock+0x695/0xb80 delete_endpoint+0xad/0x150 [cxl_core] devres_release_all+0xb8/0x110 device_unbind_cleanup+0xe/0x70 device_release_driver_internal+0x1d2/0x210 detach_memdev+0x15/0x20 [cxl_core] process_one_work+0x1e3/0x4c0 worker_thread+0x1dd/0x3d0 2/ In the case of RCH topologies, the parent device that needs to be locked is not always @port->dev as returned by cxl_mem_find_port(), use endpoint->dev.parent instead.
CVE-2023-52653 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: fix a memleak in gss_import_v2_context The ctx->mech_used.data allocated by kmemdup is not freed in neither gss_import_v2_context nor it only caller gss_krb5_import_sec_context, which frees ctx on error. Thus, this patch reform the last call of gss_import_v2_context to the gss_krb5_import_ctx_v2, preventing the memleak while keepping the return formation.
CVE-2024-9287 2 Python, Redhat 3 Python, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-30 7.8 High
A vulnerability has been found in the CPython `venv` module and CLI where path names provided when creating a virtual environment were not quoted properly, allowing the creator to inject commands into virtual environment "activation" scripts (ie "source venv/bin/activate"). This means that attacker-controlled virtual environments are able to run commands when the virtual environment is activated. Virtual environments which are not created by an attacker or which aren't activated before being used (ie "./venv/bin/python") are not affected.
CVE-2026-58015 2 Gnome, Redhat 18 Glib, Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager and 15 more 2026-10-30 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in GLib. The D-Bus client-side implementation of the DBUS_COOKIE_SHA1 SASL authentication mechanism does not validate the cookie_context parameter received from the server. A malicious D-Bus server can supply a cookie_context containing path traversal sequences, causing the client to read an arbitrary file and exfiltrate sensitive data by verifying guessed file contents against a generated hash.
CVE-2026-55655 3 Openbsd, Openssh, Redhat 12 Openssh, Openssh, Enterprise Linux and 9 more 2026-10-30 5 Medium
A flaw was found in OpenSSH. A local unprivileged attacker on a Linux client host can hijack client-side X11 forwarding connections. This is possible by pre-binding the preferred abstract X socket name when X11 forwarding is enabled and a local UNIX-domain X socket is used. A successful attack can compromise the confidentiality of forwarded X11 traffic, including sensitive window contents and input, and may allow some manipulation of the forwarded session.
CVE-2026-55653 3 Openbsd, Openssh, Redhat 12 Openssh, Openssh, Enterprise Linux and 9 more 2026-10-30 4.3 Medium
A flaw was found in OpenSSH. A malicious SSH server can exploit a double free vulnerability in the Diffie-Hellman Group Exchange (DH-GEX) client path. This occurs during FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) mode known-group validation when the client processes attacker-controlled DH-GEX group parameters. Successful exploitation leads to client-side process termination, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
CVE-2026-15588 1 Redhat 18 Ai Inference Server, Cert Manager, Discovery and 15 more 2026-10-30 5.3 Medium
A denial-of-service and resource exhaustion vulnerability exists within the `GDBus` component of GLib. The `gdbusauth` authentication mechanism fails to enforce proper length limitations on data lines read from a client. An unauthenticated local or remote attacker can exploit this lack of input validation by sending excessively long streams of data, causing the application to consume massive amounts of system memory and CPU, potentially leading to a crash or system hang.
