On Apache servers where AllowOverride is enabled, an .htaccess file placed in the upload directory may block direct HTTP retrieval of uploaded files, limiting exploitability to stacks that do not honor .htaccess directives such as nginx, LiteSpeed, and Apache with AllowOverride None.

The node reset a fixed list of command-bearing configuration keys before each operation, but that list did not cover the content-filter and merge-driver key families. A repository with local configuration setting one of those keys together with a matching attribute pattern causes git to execute the configured command during an ordinary Add, Commit, Checkout, or Pull operation. The command runs as the n8n process user.

Prior to 2.4.4-rc.3, the scheduler's default unauthenticated v1 gRPC flow accepts attacker-controlled PeerHost.Ip and PeerHost.DownPort values through RegisterPeerTask and ReportPeerResult, storeHost copies those values into resource.Host, and handlePeerSuccess invokes Peer.DownloadTinyFile() for a TINY task. DownloadTinyFile() in scheduler/resource/standard/peer.go builds an HTTP GET request from the supplied address without destination validation, allowing a remote attacker to probe loopback, link-local, and private services and place up to TinyFileSize, 128 bytes, of a response in Task.DirectPiece for later retrieval. PeerHost.DownPort is restricted to ports 1024 through 65534, and the issue provides read SSRF rather than remote code execution. The remediation blocks loopback and link-local targets, while RFC1918 destinations remain reachable because IsGlobalUnicast accepts private ranges. This issue is fixed in 2.4.4-rc.3.

Composer is a dependency Manager for the PHP language. From 1.0 until 2.2.30 and from 2.3.0 until 2.10.3, a malicious or compromised dependency can bypass the earlier CVE-2026-59946 binary-path hardening because Composer validates literal parent-directory segments only during dependency resolution, while the symlink and installed-metadata paths described by the advisory skip that validation. A package can ship an in-package binary symlink that resolves outside its installation directory, or attacker-influenced vendor/composer/installed.json metadata can provide an escaping binary path during a reinstall or regeneration of missing vendor/bin entries. The installed-metadata path is reachable only when the vendor directory was not populated by the same validated install run, such as when it is restored from an untrusted cache, copied from an earlier build stage, carried over from an older Composer run, or writable by a lower-trust build step. Composer can follow the path, change the external target's permissions to make it world-readable and executable, and create a runnable vendor/bin proxy to that external file. The issue does not directly read or transmit data and does not by itself provide remote code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 2.2.30 and 2.10.3.
